No. Spotter does not own or sell any listed items. All items are sold directly by sellers. Spotter acts solely as a trusted digital intermediary.
Spotter operates timed online auctions with live countdowns and dynamic closing extensions to ensure fair competition.
Spotter is available to individuals and companies aged 18 years or older who successfully complete registration and verification requirements.

Account Registration & Verification

Users must register online by providing accurate personal or company details and accepting Spotter’s Terms & Conditions.
Yes. Spotter may request identification or business documents at any time to verify user identity and maintain platform integrity
Yes. Spotter reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at its discretion, including for non-compliance, suspected fraud, or misuse of the platform
No. Multiple accounts per user are not permitted unless approved by Spotter.

Buyer FAQs

Buyers must:
  • Register an account
  • Sign the Buyer’s Agreement
  • Place a refundable security deposit

Once completed, the account is activated for bidding.

The deposit ensures serious bidding, protects sellers, and prevents default after winning an auction.
The deposit is calculated as a percentage of the buyer’s bidding limit and is clearly communicated during account activation.
  • If the buyer does not win, the deposit is refundable
  • If the buyer wins, the deposit is handled according to the transaction terms
  • Refunds are processed within three (3) working days, minus applicable bank charges
Buyers rely on Spotter’s professional inspection reports, photos, and videos. Private inspections may only be arranged if approved by the seller.

Yes. The reserve price is agreed between the seller and Spotter before the auction starts
Yes. If the reserve price is not met, the seller may approve, reject, or counter the highest bid.

Auction Mechanics & Bidding

Auctions run on a timed basis with a live countdown visible to all participants.
If a bid is placed within the final three (3) minutes of an auction, the timer resets to three minutes. This continues until no further bids are placed
Yes. All bids placed on Spotter are final and legally binding if approved by the seller and confirmed by Spotter.
Auto-Bid allows buyers to set a maximum bid limit. The system automatically bids on their behalf when required and never exceeds that limit.
Not always. Some auctions require seller approval, particularly if the reserve price is not met.

Payments, Deposits & Fees

Auctions run on a timed basis with a live countdown visible to all participants.

Spotter may:

  • Deduct amounts from the security deposit
  • Cancel the transaction
  • Suspend or restrict the buyer’s account
Buyer fees are clearly stated before bidding and shown on the invoice.

Sellers pay:

  • An inspection and listing fee per item
  • A commission only if the item is sold
No. Prices do not include VAT, customs duties, registration fees, transport costs, or third-party charges.

Item Collection, Logistics & Removal

Buyers are fully responsible for loading, transport, labor, equipment, and safety.
Items remain at the seller’s premises unless stated otherwise in the listing.
Yes. Buyers must remove items within the timeframe specified by the seller.
Any delays, storage charges, or penalties are the buyer’s responsibility and subject to seller conditions
No. Spotter does not provide removal or transport services but supports coordination between parties

Ownership, Documentation & Compliance

Sellers provide available documents where applicable.Buyers are responsible for registration, export, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
No. Spotter does not guarantee document completeness or suitability for specific jurisdictions

Risk, Liability & Legal

No. All items are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, without warranties or guarantees.
Risk transfers once the sale is confirmed and full payment is completed.
All transactions are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.

Disputes, Support & Force Majeure

Spotter acts as a neutral facilitator. Inspection reports, auction records, and platform communications may be used to assist resolution.Spotter is not a legal authority or arbitrator.
Spotter is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including weather, government actions, port delays, or force majeure events

Final Acknowledgment

Participation constitutes full acceptance of Spotter’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and related platform rules
